Office Wall x Linda Soh Trengereid

HC continues its commitment to art in a homelike environment through the presentation concept Office Wall, and is pleased to present two brand-new works by Linda Soh Trengereid (b. 1984).

The two paintings measures 124 x 79 cm with frame.

Surrounded by plants, designer furniture, antiques, curiosities, Oriental rugs, and art books, the artworks take on a different resonance than in a traditional gallery space. Alongside these, we are also displaying a 104 x 324 cm painting by Trengereid, which was featured in her recent gallery exhibition.

In Office Wall x Linda Soh Trengereid, the artist turns her focus toward the intimate nature of Western Norway. Rather than depicting the grand, epic panoramas that have traditionally dominated art history and saturate modern social media, she seeks out the understated, quiet, and evocative. Her motifs stem from the quiet corners of our immediate surroundings — a dense grove, the edge of a path, or the shaded area behind an outbuilding.

With fine precision, Trengereid captures the grandeur in the small, bringing forward the subtle, almost magical presence of the everyday landscape. The works invite quiet reflection, allowing the viewer to uncover new details over time.

The pieces are executed in mixed media using charcoal, pastel sticks, and acrylic paint on linen canvas — a choice of materials that gives the surface a rich texture and an atmospheric depth. The presentation is completed by custom, floating oak frames.

The works are currently on display on the office gallery wall until September 25.
