Overview
Anine Aasen lives and works in Bergen, Norway. She works primarily as a painter.

Aasen's use of color is enticing, her figuration and abstraction dynamic. Different fragments from everyday objects, spaces and light melt together creating new conversations. In one section of her paintings, she works meticulously with pattern or motif. In another, she breaks figuration and goes abstract. Her works seem intimate, well-known, intriguing, and strange at the same time.

Aasen graduated with her MFA from The Art Academy in Bergen in the spring of 2024.

This marks the artist's first exhibition in the gallery, and we are very excited to present her work.
